Parks can be really wonderful for engagement sessions as long as you’re looking for a more groomed or manicured location. Think mowed lawns and perfectly landscaped scenes for your session here! If you’re drawn to this type of location or you have a favorite pretty little park where you love to walk the dog or take a run, let’s do it!
2) at a park
I love woodsy locations with tons of trees and forest scenes, so you won’t be surprised that I love recommending forest preserves to my couples. These locations are super outdoorsy, romantic, and oh so versatile for photos. Some of my favorite engagement photos are photos I’ve taken at forest preserves. As a friendly note here, keep an eye out for photography permit fees at forest preserve locations!

5) URBAN
Whether it’s downtown scenes with skyscrapers or skylines to urban locations with tons of textures, these locations are some of my favorites. Even in walking a couple blocks at a downtown or urban engagement session location, there are endless photo opportunities. I love the vibe a downtown or urban session location gives your photos, too!
6) beach
I’m lucky to live in Chicagoland just an hour away from Lake Michigan and the beach. If you’re envisioning water for your engagement session, a beach location for your engagement photos is totally possible! From the beautiful skies to the sand and lovely water... You can’t go wrong with a beach session location!
9) DATE SPOT
Maybe you had your first date at a local brewery or have a favorite coffee shop... That's the perfect engagement session location! Breweries, wineries, and coffee shops are great for engagement photos. So grab a drink or cup of coffee at the start of your session and bring your photographer... I promise you'll love it!
